Titration timeline

If a step-up is poorly tolerated
No titration required, but full therapeutic effect develops over 6–10 weeks as exenatide concentrations reach steady state.
Missed-dose protocol
Max skip window
3 days
If less than 3 days since the missed dose, inject it as soon as possible. If more than 3 days, skip it and resume the regular weekly schedule. Two doses must always be at least 3 days apart.
When to contact your prescriber
- Multiple consecutive missed doses.
- Injection-site nodules that are large, painful, or persistent.
- Signs of pancreatitis or kidney problems.
