NovoCare is Novo Nordisk's patient support and savings program. Live savings cards cover Wegovy, Ozempic and Rybelsus; Saxenda's offer closed to new enrollees in June 2023 and Victoza left the US market in April 2024, so neither has a card. The program structure: commercial-insurance savings cards reducing copays to $0-25/month, each with its own cap on what the card will pay (Rybelsus, for example, pays at most $100 per one-month fill — there is no single across-the-board annual figure), uninsured savings program (Wegovy: ~$349/month maintenance ($199 intro) vs $1,349 retail), and a Patient Assistance Program (PAP) for income-qualified uninsured patients getting medication at no cost. Eligibility exclusions: Medicare, Medicaid, federally-funded plans (TRICARE, VA), per federal anti-kickback rules. Application typically requires prescriber co-signature, insurance documentation, and patient attestation. NovoCare also offers educational materials, injection-training videos, and dose reminder support. Important caveat: savings program eligibility is reviewed annually; patients should re-enroll or re-verify status each year.
