Why this works on GLP-1
Cucumber and tuna are gentle on slow GLP-1 digestion, while 18g of lean protein hits daily targets in a tiny 4-bite portion that won't trigger early fullness or reflux. High water content fights the dehydration common on semaglutide and tirzepatide.
Ingredients
- 1 can (5 oz) chunk light tuna in water, drained
- 1/2 ripe avocado
- 1 large English cucumber
- 1 tablespoon plain Greek yogurt (2%)
- 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon finely diced red onion
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- Pinch of sea salt
- Pinch of black pepper
- Fresh dill or chives for garnish (optional)
Steps
- Slice the cucumber into 1/2-inch thick rounds and pat them dry with a paper towel so toppings stay put.
- In a small bowl, mash the avocado with the lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, flake the drained tuna with a fork and stir in the Greek yogurt and diced red onion.
- Spread a thin layer of the mashed avocado onto each cucumber round as the creamy base.
- Top each round with a small spoonful of the tuna mixture, pressing gently so it sits flat.
- Garnish with fresh dill or chives and serve immediately, or chill up to 2 hours before eating.
