Pushing a weight-loss request through Ozempic usually wastes weeks and ends in denial — the cleaner path is Wegovy.

Because this is an on-label diabetes use with clear criteria, approval is typically faster and more reliable than a weight-loss GLP-1 request. Delays almost always come from a missing A1c, a missing diagnosis code, or unaddressed step therapy.
