How to inject Trulicity
- Inject under the skin of the abdomen, thigh or upper arm, rotating the site with each dose.
- Use only if the solution is clear and colorless.
- If you also use insulin, give them as separate injections and never mix them. They can go in the same area, but not next to each other.
What if you miss a dose?
Inject the missed dose as soon as possible only if there are at least 3 days (72 hours) until your next scheduled dose. Otherwise skip it and inject on your usual day.

What happens if I take too much Trulicity?
Overdoses in clinical studies mostly caused mild or moderate nausea and vomiting and non-severe low blood sugar. Call Poison Help (1-800-222-1222) or get medical care; the label advises frequent blood sugar checks.
Is Trulicity dosed differently for kidney or liver problems?
Studied across kidney function, including moderate to severe chronic kidney disease, with no overall difference in safety or effect. Experience in liver impairment is limited, so the label advises caution.
